With the move of the information age to a global society, educators today feel the accompanying pressure to improve and increase communication skills, listening and sharing, decision-making and networking. Teachers being the implementers of learning are task to provide a high-tech and high-touch experiences for students in the classroom.

“Educators: Taking the Lead to the 21st Century School”, an e-portfolio project was conducted and participated by Bachelor of Secondary Education students  of  Mindanao State University, General Santos City during SY 2010-2011. An e-portfolio is a valuable tool using a weblog that provides an alternative method of teaching through exploration, creation, innovation and communication in a limitless boundary. The success of e-portfolio lies on the iterative method of research actions by  (1) Setting Project Objective (2) Conceptualization, Planning and Designing (3) Conducts Investigation (4) Project Documentation (5) Creation and Uploading (6) Presentation, Critiquing and Debugging (7) Assessing weblog portfolio and (8) Reflection Surveys. The www.educatorssquare.blogspot.com as blogsite and www.pinoyalert.com an official website was used by the researcher for blogging, social networking, e-learning, resource management and accessing.

The success of e-portfolio was presented by the researcher during the 6th Microsoft Regional Asia-Pacific Innovative Teachers Leadership Award and Forum in Singapore last March 9-11,2010. Following initial successes, the result of the study confirms that e-portfolio is an effective tool to develop students creativity, research and writing ability, thus, enhances environmental awareness, leadership, social responsibility, initiative as well as better technological and communication skills.
